La pioppicoltura in Italia può contribuire alle pratiche di carbon farming? Le risposte dal LIFE C-FARMs
Per sopperire alla penuria di dati esistenti sulla distribuzione delle piantagioni di pioppo (attualmente disponibile fino al 2017), è stato previsto e realizzato un aggiornamento della mappatura al 2021 per la Regione Lombardia. L’azione ha comportato anche un’analisi del potenziale delle piantagioni di pioppo di mitigare il cambiamento climatico, sia in relazione ai suoli che al contributo dato dagli Harvested Wood Products (HWP), di cui sono stati considerati anche i processi post-raccolta.
